Transparent Frog is a species of frog in the amphibian family Centrolenidae. Although the common background color of most glass frogs is primarily lime green, the ventral skin of some members of this family is transparent and translucent. Their diet consists mainly of small insects such as crickets, moths, flies, spiders, and even other small frogs. (2008) Glass frogs are native to South America and dispersed several times into Central America. Character evolution appears to be complex, with multiple gains and/or loss of bone spurs, reduced membranes in the hands, and complete transparency in the abdomen. and other visible organs. Elsewhere, its skin is generally pale green with small yellow suckers on its fingers and toes. This frog has a short snout and yellow irises. Glass frogs include more than 120 species in about 10 genera (with most species classified in the genera Centrolene, Cochranella and Hyalinobatrachium). They occur from lowland tropical forests to midland montane forests. Most species are small, with adults 20 to 30 mm . long.
